Hand Embellished Limited Edition Prints of 'Silver Linings'
 
The idea for this artwork came to me out of the blue; a barn owl amongst silvery, moonlit foliage with a backdrop of an atmospheric night sky, and I just had to bring it to life! I later realised that there was a hidden message within the piece; some people believe that the barn owl brings the message 'light in the darkness', they're a symbol of hope. And we certainly all need to hold onto hope right now! With everything that's going on in the world. Sometimes it can be hard to see the way forward, to know how we are going to overcome and get through difficult times. And for me this painting is a reminder to trust that there is hope, that there will be a way forward. We might have to seek it out, but there's always a silver lining waiting for us.
 
The original drawing was created with coloured pencils, watercolour and metallic gouache on hot pressed watercolour paper. 

The drawing has been printed onto 225gsm textured fine art paper with UV encapsulated inks; making these prints lightfast and archival, lasting at least 75 years without fading or discolouring. The textured paper allows you to see every pencil mark as if you were looking at the original drawing.
 
The metallic details within this print are painted on by hand; making each print that little bit more special and unique.
 
The print is finished in a high quality white and dark grey double mount, which measures 14x11''. The image size is A4.

Limited run of 150 prints. Each print will be numbered and hand-signed by myself and will include a certificate of authenticity.
