Privacy Policy

 

I, Kate Bird, am the data-controller of my client’s personal information as it relates to my business. When a purchase or order is placed with me, I will receive the client’s name and email address, in order to send an invoice via Paypal, or bank details if the client chooses to pay via bank transfer.  I will receive a postal address via Paypal once the payment has been received. I will only use these details to process and deliver the order; or deal with any queries relating to that order. Conversations regarding the purchase or order that take place on the messages section of my social media pages or via email are confidential, and stored on my secure, password protected laptop and other secure, locked devices. I will never use or pass on any information to third parties for marketing or any other purpose; or add a client to any mailing list without their explicit consent. I will only retain client details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period.

 

Clients have the right to know what personal data I hold about them, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. They also have the right to complain to the ICO if they believe there is a problem with the way I handle their data. In addition to my own privacy policy, if the client pays for their order with PayPal, their data will be protected by PayPal's privacy policy.
