Pet Portraits

Do you have a special memory of your pet that makes you smile every time you think about it? A beautiful walk with your dog through a field of poppies perhaps, or your cat's favourite blossom tree to climb. Well, I can bring that memory to life for you to hang on your wall and bring that smile and joy back everyday.
Your pet will be drawn in coloured pencil, which allows me to achieve a highly detailed and realistic representation; with the addition of a mixed media background, that can tell a story or just add that extra special something to the piece. The background will be watercolour or pastel with loose floral details.
I use the highest quality materials for my pet portraits, 100% cotton, archival, museum grade watercolour paper or Pastelmat; lightfast coloured pencils, watercolour, pastels and other mediums; and acid free mount board and backing, to ensure that your portrait will not fade, lasting you a lifetime.
Your portrait will be finished in a stylish double mount board that complements the colours within the piece.
This will fit a standard frame size, as stated below. This is included in the price, framing, however, is not included in the price, but is available at an extra charge.
I work from photographs, so would require a reasonably high quality photograph of your pet. (If you are unsure whether your photos are suitable, please contact me, as some of my previous clients have only had old printed/low quality photos of their pets but I was still able to create a drawing for them, however I may need to add a small surcharge to do so). If you have a favourite photo of your pet, but something is not quite right, i.e. a squinty eye, an ear facing the wrong way, or even if you're just not having any luck getting a photo with both your pets looking in the right direction, don't worry, I can use more than one photo to create the perfect portrait for you!
Prices:
6'' x 8'' - £225 fits 8'' x 10'' frame size
8'' x 10'' - £300 fits 10'' x 12'' frame size
10’’ x 12'' - £375 fits 12'' x 16'' frame size
12'' x 16'' - £450 fits 16'' x 20'' frame size
16'' x 20'' - £525 fits 20'' x 24'' frame size
If you would like more than one pet in your portrait, please add 20% for each additional pet.
Please note, sizes 6'' x 8'' and 8'' x 10'' are only recommended for one subject.
Payment plans are available, please ask for details.
A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking and the rest is to be paid when you are 100% happy with your pet portrait. I regret that the deposit is only refundable if I am unable to complete your drawing, or if you are not happy with the final result and I cannot rectify it.
Any additional costs such as framing and postage will be added on to the second half of the payment. You will be informed of all additional costs during or after the process. I will not post or hand over the portrait until the remaining payment is received.
